Great on the ground info on Fonseca fever. This upcoming clay court season, Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, and FO. Fonseca is already the number 3 favorite to me at FO. Monfils plays Fritz tonight. This looks like a decisive Fritz win coming to me.
Love watching Tien. Each time I watch him I am more impressed with his crafty brainy variation and tools. Love Fonseca too, but his game isn’t very… relatable to watch. He’s just too good and hits the ball too big, lol.
Like you, I dislike the ON kits and hope he signs with NB. Hoping all the hype doesn’t get to him. Would hate to see him end up like Shapo, seeing him nowadays just feels tragic.
Nextgen fitness/kinesiology: Tien, Fonseca, and maybe Michelson, carry to much extra belly weight, and it would serve all 3 well to lean out to help with injury prevention, decrease joint impact, and increase quickness/endurance. You can get away with this in best of three, yet to advance in best of five set Slams, you need to be leaner. Yes they all will develop lower body strength in early/mid twenties. Am I off base here?
I don't think Fonseca or Tien are too out of shape having seen them in the flesh. I do think Michelsen is a little heavier and he could be in line with your thinking here
Will be interesting to see if Sonego can shorten points with efficient forward attack. I think trying to overpower Tien from the baseline is a mistake. Also, serving well helps a lot.
On the part about backhand grips, there is a third variation where the bottom hand (at end of the handle) is a fist grip and the top hand is a trigger grip. I believe Djokovic uses this style. Will your upcoming piece cover this variation too? I do see that this one provides a good balance across power, stability and control compared to the other two. Would be great to get your quick thoughts on this. And I very much forward to the article!

Fonseca favourite number 3 is baseless, do you think he can improve his stamina so much in 4 months?
It is baseless, I am not an oddsmaker. Just talking about tennis on a message board.
Could watch Musetti hit that backhand all day long. It’s a thing of beauty.
