Love the "Can't fire a cannon from a canoe!" quote.
As for your 'picks'---I think you create so much value and entertainment by providing insights on each player's strengths/weaknesses/strategies that the prediction on who will prevail will always be secondary to me....
I felt a similar revelation watching the Carlos doc - these coaches of top players have a very difficult, multi hat job. Xs and Os almost seem secondary to what almost sounds like babysitting. I don't mean to denigrate Carlos or any other top player, but that part of caretaking was not something I ever considered seriously.
Honestly, I think Demon has the potential to win this because he consistently is able to win when he is the favourite. Especially if Zverev/Ruud/Draper and other big names don't make it as far as semis, I would probably pick Demon. He's just so good at winning when he is the top dog. Conversely, I think Demon almost always loses above his paygrade, which could mean that Demon will never win a grandslam because he'll always encounter Sinner, Alcaraz, or someone else who's higher ranked than him and he always seems to lose. If Demon doesn't win, it could finally be Zverev's turn to actually win something significant?

I agree with both statements

I like your take on the Alcaraz documentary, i do think it is a broader gen z issue too, my take here: https://open.substack.com/pub/tennischampions/p/second-serve-the-long-haul?r=pacry&utm_medium=ios
De Minaur's draw is wide open with Alcaraz out.
Draper zverev final and zverev winning it all unfortunatly lmao

On reddit everyone said Nadal used to party hard too. Is it really necessarily an issue?
yup if you want to play at your best but it does rob you of a social outlet for relaxing.
