Every training session I've watched of Djokovic - and gosh it's been many - he would not tolerate missing two shots in a row without demanding that the coach or biomechanics person tell him why he was missing and how to fix it. A miss always looked abnormal for him, even at practice. And coach'd better have something convincing to say. I feel players who are at the top of the control freaks/perfectionist ladder are gonna be also high on the technical points to nail.

Also, if u'd land at practice and see him argue about his BH and at which height he takes the ball on that shot or why he'd be missing BH returns, u'd know the guy was in the zone. It's always a sign of his mental state to see him ask for ages sometimes about his BH lol. Vajda lost years of his life on that, I'm sure.

Murray was more triggered by bad choices. That would enrage him even at practice.

1. I'm just guessing here, but I bet Novak's desire for technical fixes is psychological. Meaning, he may be thinking that if only he could adjust x or y and that would change an outcome.

2. At the very least, slice backhand still has value in defense.

3. Fokina had that match on his serve, but he double-faulted and hit 3 fh errors at 5-3 30-0. Still he's among the most entertaining players to watch.
